A Vision I Believe In

There’s a vision I believe

High up the stars dreams lie where in

There’s a hope I believe in

In this soil where my heart was born

In this Earth I got to laugh and mourn

I trust the times more than my skin

Because, there’s a vision I believe in

The world made initially for us

Has become a matter of fuss

Such is the observation of my whim

And still, there’s a vision i believe in

Up above the sky so high

unlike a sore who has to lie

I entrust myself with a hope to win

Because there’s a vision I believe in

Even in the darkest hour, eyes look on us down

That’s the way we are, waiting for an opening to leave a scar

Though the night has a beauty of it’s own

We still think the black are property to disown

And yet, the fact that someone thinks

Though at times looks away and winks

Gives a ray of hope and belief even if slim

Because…………. there’s a vision I believe in
